Meet Joe Louis Ferri, President of The Ferri Group

Joe Louis Ferri is a foodservice equipment and supplies professional and President of The Ferri Group, leading the Metro New York manufacturers’ rep agency through a major transition and rebranding from Pecinka Ferri into an independent, future‑focused organization.

A specialist in ventless cooking, robotics, and automation, he helps operators, consultants, and dealers design high‑performance kitchens that balance throughput, labor, safety, and sustainability.

Over the course of his career, Joe has held nearly every role in the field—chef, design consultant, installer, dealer salesman, and manufacturers’ representative—experience that now informs his work as agency president and project strategist.

Born into the business, Joe represents the fourth generation of his family in foodservice and the second generation as a manufacturers’ representative. His great‑grandfather was a chef; both paternal grandparents worked in operations; and his mother managed back‑office work at New York’s iconic 21 Club, giving him a deep, practical understanding of kitchens and hospitality from an early age. And it goes without saying that he has worked for the past 15 years under the tutelage of his father, Joe Sr, whom after 6 decades in the industry has now settled into his new role as a consultant to the business and counsel to his son.

For the past year, Joe has led The Ferri Group through its evolution and rebrand, sharpening the firm’s focus on Metro NY, NJ, and CT while building a portfolio of successful designs for high‑profile foodservice properties.

An early adopter of robotics and kitchen automation, he champions solutions that make equipment smarter, workflows more efficient, and front and back‑of‑house teams more effective. In addition to his leadership role at The Ferri Group, Joe served as president of his local MAFSI chapter, helping shape the future of the manufacturers’ representative community in MAFSI Region 3.

A NYC native, now based in NJ, Joe is also a homeowner and father of two, grounding his approach to design and operations in the realities of everyday life and long‑term stewardship of the spaces his clients build. He is known across the tri‑state area for responsive support, clear communication, and the ability to bridge technical equipment details with the real‑world needs of today’s most demanding foodservice environments.
